CJMCU-3001 OPT3001 Digital Ambient Light Sensor

Product Description

The CJMCU-3001 OPT3001 is a high-performance digital ambient light sensor designed for accurate measurement of light intensity in Lux. The OPT3001 features a spectral response closely matched to the human eye, providing more meaningful light measurements than conventional LDR-based sensors.

Its integrated infrared rejection helps prevent invisible IR radiation from significantly affecting the measured light level. With a wide 0.01–83,000 Lux measurement range, automatic gain control, low power consumption, and a digital I²C interface, the sensor is suitable for precision light-monitoring applications.

Key Advantages

  • Human-Eye-Matched Response: Designed to closely follow the spectral response of the human eye.
  • Excellent IR Rejection: Provides >99% typical infrared rejection, reducing measurement errors caused by infrared radiation.
  • Wide Measurement Range: Measures light levels from 0.01 Lux up to 83,000 Lux.
  • Automatic Gain Ranging: Automatically adjusts the measurement range according to the light level.
  • Digital Output: Provides direct digital Lux readings through the I²C interface, eliminating the need for an external ADC.
  • Very Low Power Consumption: Approximately 1.8 µA typical operating current, making it suitable for battery-powered devices.
  • Compact Module: Easy to integrate into embedded systems, IoT devices, and portable electronics.

Why Choose OPT3001?

Compared with a conventional LDR or basic analog light sensor, the OPT3001 provides a digital Lux measurement, a wide measurement range, automatic gain ranging, a response closer to the human eye, and strong IR rejection. This makes it a better choice when consistent and meaningful ambient-light measurements are required.
